Vitamin C crystals
Crystals of oxidised Vitamin C (dehydroascorbic acid). Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a good anti-oxidant as it is readily oxidised itself to a form that is stable and unreactive. This protects cells from damage caused to reactive oxygen species.
